JAVELIN Machinery is wholly Australian owned with its Head Office & factory based in Hallam, Victoria Australia. For the past 25 years Javelin Machinery has been Australia’s leading supplier of Single Knife Slitters and Loggers (Rewinders).
Formerly a manufacturing business Javelin has been restructured as an importer of machinery that adds value rather than manufactures. The Javelin brand is known for its quality, innovation and most importantly customer service. Key to Javelin’s new direction is its ability to source quality equipment from Asia with strong contacts based in China who negotiate pricing and monitor quality control on behalf of the company
Between 1985 & 2005 machines were locally manufactured at Javelin’s factory then located in Knoxfield Victoria. Over 450 machines have been produced with almost all of Australia’s leading convertors of adhesive tapes, stamping foils, fiberglass, sign vinyl, rubber/gaskets and fabrics purchasing Javelin machines, while over 200 machines were sold to convertors in USA, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Japan, Indonesia, Ireland, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, France, Hong Kong, China, Brazil, South Africa, Mexico, Italy & Columbia.
JAVELIN Machinery had its beginnings as a Specialist Converting operation trading in the name of B J Mackie & Co (Aust) Pty Ltd from 1970. In 1984 Javelin Machinery was formed as a separate company to manufacture and market single knife slitters, loggers using the converting expertise gathered over the previous 14 years. Javelin sells its converting expertise as an integral part of the partnership which it considers to be as important as the machines themselves.
Today, while retaining significant Australian manufacturing content in our machines, in order to remain competitive and meet customers’ requirements Javelin sources the best automatic machines manufactured in Asia and adds value by upgrading all aspects of the machine and adding safety guarding which meet Australian and International standards.
All JAVELIN machines meet AS4024-1-2006 requirements for safety. A Risk Assessment is supplied with each machine.

Javelin can help you reduce the learning curve in acquiring expertise in slitting/logging by providing you with information to overcome converting problems. Our manuals are written clearly and specifically for your machine to ensure your operator can interpret it correctly.
